Woodland Heights Christian Preschool
Marnie Osborne, Director
Woodland Heights Christian Preschool was originally established in 1989 as a Bible-based, academically appropriate program for children ages 6 weeks through pre-Kindergarten. It continues to operate as a state licensed, Better Beginnings preschool that offers a Christ-centered environment promoting social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual growth.
The curriculum includes Bible stories, songs and finger plays, art activities, literacy, games, gross and fine motor skill development, and field trips.
Learning centers are provided in each room: home living, science and nature, books, blocks, writing (4s only), art, music, and puzzles and manipulatives.
WHCP helps children grow and develop as Jesus did - "in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man". (Luke 2:52)
Woodland Heights Christian Preschool is a ministry of Woodland Heights Baptist Church, providing Bible-based teaching, care and education for the children enrolled while supporting the parents in teaching children the Christian principles of God's Holy Word. Our classes are open to any child regardless of race or religious beliefs.
Our mission is based on Luke 2:52, helping children to become Christ-like by growing "in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man." We accomplish this by teaching the children through creative, imaginative and active play incorporated within a state approved curriculum known as Adventures in Learning, Adventures in Toddlers, and Connecting with Infants. Additional teaching aids are brought in from a number of other sources. We also have special teaching times that focus on music, Spanish and PE. These extra-curricular sessions are conducted in an active learning style. Arch Ford (the Conway School District Co-Op) is available (for free) to supplement any student with speech and/or educational therapies, on an as needed basis.
Preschool classes are offered in the following schedules (the final determination of each class will be based on enrollment):
Please call the Director for more information. If classroom space allows, we can customize further. Early care begins at 7:40 am and late care ends at 4 pm. for a nominal fee.
All classes are based on the age of the child on August 1 of the year enrolling. Special needs and/or medical conditions must be brought to the Director's attention prior to enrollment.
